http://www.otsturntables.com/ vs. www.djdecks.be

I purchased djDecks - Professional mp3, ogg, wma and wav dj mixing software
a few months ago, and so far its the best dj software if you wanna use real 12" Lps / turntable audio and use the PC just as a digital mixer! = clean sound, no crosfader noise, etc...

has amazing audio input features, and better asio drivers latency implementation than ni traktor3,
tracktor3 adds twice the samples to the input, like when unselecting low latency in the cubase/nuendo = thats a no,no if using audio from real turntables !!
and also tracktor3 freq.response and distortion are set to emulate tube/vintage dj mixers sound, but i just dont like ho it sounds

...
sadly djdecks.be SampleRateConverter Algorithm sounds odd, current version 0.83
if i try to use it as .mp3/.wav player, it does sound better than pioneerdj software, but still sounds lifeless compared to WMP9

anyway...
virtualdj.com was the only DJ Player with "good sound" so far...

i found yesterday...

Ots Labs: OtsTurntables - Virtual Turntables MP3 Mixer

it has a good sound also, i hear a verry nice SRC algorithm, to me sounds a bit better than virtualdj.com, less hyped
sounds way better than foobar2000,
but similar to WMP9/10/11

the great thing about OTS appart from the great sound is that:: its really fun usign it

just alt+shit+F1/F2/F5/F6 and the BloqNumbers 123456789
the stuck needle mode its fun also Shift+F2/F6

or moving the blue progress bar with the mouse sounds like ....the needle jumping/scratchng the disc
its so retro/cool

the only problems are that::
ots turntables:
does not have vinyl control , serato/final/pinky,etc..
does not have 3-band EQ with kill buttons (user modificable EQ curves and points, and/or able to use any VST EQ with assignable parameters to the mixer 3-band EQ+Kill Buttons)
for example kjaerhus audio has GEQ7 and sonic flavous DQ7, i would like to use them as a channel EQ, but see the ots mixer knobs
also to insert other VST effects in the master would be nice
does not have ASIO Drivers! thats a killer, OTSAV has asio but only to the master!=useless!
does not have user assignablee keyboards short cuts,
(for example its verry anoing, the F1/F5 Stop/Jump to Cue, -->should be backwards: Jump to cue and Stop,
Beat Detection lights, like pioeerdj software or djdecks.be
does not have audio input like djdecks.be
does not have 4 channel mixer! mp3+cd-da+audio.input!
does not supports musepack .mpc or .ape or .flac

with those features will be the best dj software! ever!
current version 1.00.012 !!!

i wrote asking them to include those features in otsturntables,
can you write them too: ??
Ots Labs: Contact Information

its really fun, im happy again!
CD-DA feature usign the PC DVD/CD/virtual drives as pro dj cd playes rules !!!!
finally!

... OTS has something special, its fun and sounds "Good"

...please write to support those features <----------

I just did a few mixes aka Experiments in Ableton. No matter what if I record to tape and just play it always sounds better. OF course using higher end digital stuff does a great job also.

Still every software I have used seems to loose that slight sense of feel and timing. Believe me I have tried so many solutions also.

For what it is worth I did find Traktor to sound better when used at higher sample rates.

here is a link of the mixes and what they are about:

Some are done purest and some dirty just to give a comparison.

i really wanna buy it, but.. without asio for all
outs, and no EQ+kill its useless for me

otsturntables its amazing, but not pro enough

Thanks
