Electronic artists find inspiration in vintage gear

Before preset sound banks overflowed with prefab beats, electronic musicians made them from scratch with freestanding synthesizers.

buying a synth & not tweaking the sounds is like hanging a frame with the pic that came with it.

More like buying a frame that comes with 400 varried but slightly generic pictures done by some pretty pro artists.....Every synth maker has some pretty good people making patches/presets. No synth (hardware or soft) is sold with just 1 patch.

This article is bullshit! Dj's were producing techno/house music before the words virtual synth was still a concept!

What's next? Dj's find inspiration playing vinyls? Give me a break!
