Andi Vax - "mixing Secrets" Video Tutorial (rus/eng)

MAIN LINK DOWNLOAD LINK
ENGLISH SUBTITLES ENGLISH SUBTITLES

I would like to represent you the free video tutorial which is dedicated to secrets of mixing the dance music.
This video is for advanced producer who has an experience of two or more years.
For young and talanted there is a numerous tutorials with basic information.
The reason why I did it were a lot of questions and requests from young producers and professionals about my way of creating and processing the sound.
I’ve read a numerous tutorials about mixing and mastering music and the main it’s disadvantage is that the creators emphasis on ROCK and POP music, they are not paying attention on really important aspects of mixing and not explaining “HOW to make” instead of “WHY we do exactly THIS”.
I’ve not found an explanation of some important moments there, so my answers on my questions where burned from the long way of tests and mistake and also from by discussions with my colleges.
I've utilized in this video the most effective plugins, hardware and software synthesizers for deeper understanding the process.
What I explain here is not a gospel truth. This is only my vision of some aspects in sound recording and here I propose just one of the possible ways for achievement the good quality.

Dedicated to all who create. We are the world.

Question 15%

"the most effective plugins" ? hmm bold statement

that remembers me how long it taked me to test over 9O% of all digital hardware and software eq & compressors, and efx units, and how hard it was to do A/B tests, even developing an efective test method
maybe im slow and dumb but im hot & sexxy !!! jajaja

¿ have you A/B tested over 9O% of all ?

ill just wait and see!

Post catching up

reading your posts, (can you beleive i didnt knew you existed until now?)
i found that you have tested antress la2a vs. uad-1 la2a vs. real la2a
you missed the bombfactory la2a ?

anyway... all real la2a sound diferent,
what serial number was your real la2a ?

i only like the antress dbx 160 emulation
similar sound to waves rcomp but with dbx knee curves, attack & release
it sounds better than a real dbx 266xl to me, or those older behringer compsoers? cant remember the numbers, even sounds warmer to me than those convolution dbx 160sl IRs on the web

anyway 49%

You need DIVX/XVID video decoder,
you can have any codec installing the
Cole2k Media | Audio/Video Software, Packages, Codecs
cole 2k media pack

or download VLC player that has native support for allmost all codecs
but i like more the Windows Media Player 9/10/11 sound engine

Thumbs up http://www.koncept-music.com/andi_vax/ANDI%20VAX%20-%20MIXING%20SECRETS%20VIDEO/

Index of /andi_vax/ANDI VAX - MIXING SECRETS VIDEO

#1. Verry Hi.Quality Video, verry surprising, verry enjoyable
way better than UAD-1 DVD and yamaha dvd
#2. "the voice" has too much pops at first, sounds sometimes verry distracting too much cut & paste i think, too compressed maybe?

#3. the super long audio fade-out "10seconds" at minute 16:00 its weird

#4. totally disagree when i heard "mastering its imposible by you"

i have a verry good story about it::
i know a grammy winner recording engeneer,
i ask him about what he thinked about a song i made, "in his spare time"
he gave the wrong advice "to give more kick and bass to the song",
and we were listening in 2x15 tannoys !!! in a wordclass studio

becouse he "thinks" electronic music its all about the bass,
but was a honnest mistake

if i would have follow that advice i would have ended with a verry heavy bottom song, and even more up-front kick

The easyest way i found to master a song quickly:: its to select your favorite target song, import it, mute it, and while mastering your song in your song channel, not mastering it in the master channel,
make a quick Solo A/B hearing tests between your song mastered in its own channel and your favorite target song in the other channel

Look for example the UAD-1 DVD vol.1 , the mastering engeneer panned wrong the song, becouse "vocals were not centered" according to his ears or his speakers, what a crappy DVD the UAD-1, the only part i liked was the Lynx AES16 + 4x UA 2192

also you forgot to mention that 12" Lps does not have stereo bass frequency, and a master song should be aprox. from 400Hz down be mono, verry easyto do with ozone, or... or...

#5. verry well thinked, planned video tutorial, im surpriced

#6. disagree about the 10th commandment, "its not about money,"
dude, the common goal of 90% of the people its to make others feel envy,
life its the game of envy for aprox. 90% not P.L.U.R.

i know you cannot feel envy yet, but... others are diferent, verry full by it, dude

#7. you missed classic stereo techniques like small delay hard panned, or i need to sleep?

anyway nice Video,
i would like to show this video to a friend that made a verry well known song in 1999 or 1998 cant remember, to see his reaction

its always fun! to hear from russia
you forgot to add "from russia with love" like the 007 movieor the automovile ?

P.S.

i used to mix like that, to mix mathematically, by logic.. "thinking"
but... once my brain connected to my ears and "opened"
now i trust my ears!
now i usually i just do a free mda swept sine tone to hear the speakers in the room, and tellmy brain to understand the diferences
or use a song i really know, and eq it, and use that eq, as room eq
and i get always verry near what i want, verry near 2nd take usually, mixes translates to other systems sometimes better than i thinked it would

anyway,
verry good video , i wish i had that drive energy again
this video its gonna make you verry famous

dude, why dont you make a .torrent ?
any server will collapse with 1000x up/downloads of 700MB aprox.
install Get BitTorrent - BitTorrent in the server, and create two .torrent files ENG & RUS stikethumbsup
Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test
if my bandwidth were more than 20kbps upload, ill would do it my self, but my pc its overheating, and i cannot leave it turned-on 3 days untill theres enought seeders

anyway thanks

How long to download?

How long did this video take most of y'all to download? It says it is going to take 3 hours and 48 minutes more with 2% done.

Is this nearly correct? Or will it be about 2 hours?

Help, thanks for the.

edit: By the way, I'm using the Orbit downloader too. I'm on 16% now with 3hours 8 minutes left.

Math problem.

Can someone help me do the math?

If it took "40 minutes" to do 14%, how many minutes will it take to do 84%?

I'm really bad at math.

4 Hours.

Relax. Just minimize the window, and check up on it in a couple of hours.

Let us get this straight,
  • I don't want to be the bad guy here
  • I understand, "have your cake and eat it too"
  • I appreciate this video a lot, and I wish I could make videos similiar to this one for beginners.
  • I understand English is not andivax's first language

Can anybody put subtitles on this video for Andivax so he can sell the video?

I don't want this to get personal at all, but does anybody else have a hard time understanding some of the lingo?

Ok, I'm from the south, so I know I'm hard to understand, so Andrey and me have something in common. Maybe.

Otherwise, just great. This video almost makes me want to tear up now. Thanks andivax.
