Anyone heard of the Roland EF-303?

just a few pix on the web, some "whatever" reviews by DJs but no info on the roland site and no audio files around with some examples

http://namm.harmony-central.com/SNAM...PR/EF-303.html

i was wondering how those step filter work and hows the vocoder and if its posible to use its 16 faders as a mixing coontrol surface...

does anyone have a manual or sound examples for... ive been diggin but notin comes up...

Not seen or heard one myself but got a review in an old 'Keyboard' mag.
All FX have 3 parameters + wet/dry mix
2 of the 3 parameters + the wet/dry mix can be sequenced using the using the faders (only 1 at a time of course), hence the 'step filter'.
External MIDI control of all 3 params + mix. MIDI out from all knobs + faders (MIDI CC). - there's your fader box.
Sequences can be any length up to 16 steps, either or both directions.
Hidden menus with 3 digit LCD , 16 memories, on/off fixed global glide between steps.
Seperate High/Mid/Low processing.
MIDI clock or tap tempo., also auto detect.
V basic drum seq, + bass synth (extra control via Sysex).
Pretty lo-fi apparently. Vocoder described as 'punchy'.
'Keyboard' liked it, but some would say that doesn't really mean anything.
Looks a fun DJ tool.

Ah yes, analogue paper, can't beat that warmth (especially when it burns...)
