Thread Starter | Midi keyboard & Cubase SX3
Hi, I'm trying to connect an AKAI MX1000 master keyboard to my computer so I can use it as a midi-keyboard in Cubase SX3. I've connected the midi-cable from the midi-out on the keyboard to the midi-input of my M-Audio Audiophile soundcard, but it's not working. Cubase is not receiving any midi note-on messages. Can anybody help me out? Do I need to install some drivers or something? Or do I have to configure something in SX3? Or in the Audiophule control-panel? I checked the Cubase manual, but that thing is a ****ing nightmare IMO. Maybe it's not compatible with SX 3 because its too old? I read somewhere it was first released in '92. Thanks in advance, Alex |

age of the keyboard wont matter um, check your midi port selections in cubase (devices/device setup) - check the midi lead, and check the actual keyboard is set to send midi out if all that fails you can only start fault finding by 1. try a new/different midi lead 2. try a diferent keyboard (or any midi sending device, such as a drumbox, you can borrow one even) |
