slice/cut/repeat/stutter effekt

I like the effekt of repeating portiions of audio as a rythmic effekt, like the effekt you get from Ableton Livesīs Repeater plug-in, but also the the Smarteletronix Supatrigger and Livecut has some nice features . Also Reaktor has some nice functions in this area. Anyone knows about other plugs whis does the trick ?
I would love a tool where you could chose note values fro the keyboard (C = 1/4 notes, D = 1/4 notes triplets, E = 1/8 notes, F= 1/8 notes triplets, G= 16 notes, and so on) and then repeat audio "on the fly" by pressing the keys. Does this plug-in exit ? Is it possible to make this with Reaktor ?

any input is welcome

hello.

this is very easily done with Reaktor. Either, create your own ensemble to meet your exact needs, or, download the ensemble "BeatLookupFX" from the user library. I'm sure there are other ensembles that do the same, but this is the first that comes to mind. With this ensemble you can do this ser effect and map its controls to either a midi device or even the keys on your computer.

Another one to check are the pluggins made by C74 called Pluggo. There are pluggins here that are specific to create simple or complex ser effects. These can also be controlled by a midi device and 'performed live', however they need a host DAW, like Pro Tools etc....

devine machine's lucifer is pretty wicked at this sort of thing too. I often cut up audio and throw it in a sampler and play the parts that way, sometimes after passing the stuff through reaktor first. Way more control.

sadly, steve duda had to stop selling it because so many people illegally used it, he didn't make any money. totally bs as it is a great plugin and it was cheap. good luck finding some copy protection in the future steve.

They should really add a 'sticky' for this topic. It gets asked about once a week!

wow. That's a bummer and a real eye opener. It really was cheap. I've only used the demo, and it seems to be a really cool plugin for this kind of stuff. Hopefully he'll keep making cool software...

Audio Damage Replicant sounds like something you should check out.

It can feel abit uncontrollable at first, but set up your midi controller to controll the plugin, and play around. Its great fun. :) It also has lpf/hpf, bit reduction and some cool panning.
