| Jaydee Plastic Dreams Production After all these years I'm still blown away by this classic track. I'm wondering if anyone has any info on how it was made and/or gear used? Two sounds in particular interest me 1. The strange echoing sound you can hear faintly in the background when the main gong type tone starts playing near the beginning. 2. That searing phasing sound that comes in partway through the track and lifts it to the next level.I've tried in vain to emulate this sound satisfactorily. Any info much appreciated Thanks, Mono |

| Plastic dreams is a very unique track and really has a sound of its own, it's produced by Robin Albers who did an outstanding radioshow on housemusic in holland in the early 90's. He did lots of interviews with other artists about their productions but i can't find any info on how he made plastic dreams himself... All i know is that he used a tr909 for some drum sounds but that's not really surprising for a track from that era. The vinyl copy i have of the song was released on R&S, fellow gearslut dmorley did some releases on the same label, perhaps he can tell us some more...

| 90s house producers were big on the Yamaha Fm racks like the TX series stuff. |
