Keytar - OK, OK, I admit I want one

I just got done watching this video from the pseudo-Green Day band, The Network:

I am convinced it's possible (though perhaps difficult) to truly rock with a Keytar. I want one. Can anyone recommend any particular one other than the standby Roland AX-1/7?

Still have doubts? I found this photo to show just how sexy the Keytar can be:

While she makes the Keytar look nice, I'd have to disagree with you. I think it looks pretty darn cool here:

The Lync is discontinued but you may be able to find one. I think they look better than the Roland. They also had a wireless midi transmitter option.

Korg made one, the RK100, and Yamaha made a couple, the KX1 and KX5, but those were kinda cheesy little gizmos.

Here is a cool keytar video.

Keep in mind that that same performance would not be cool if you did it, unless you happen to be as hot as the chick in the video. (In which case, definiteley get one.) In fact, if you want to cool your desire for a keytar, you should look at all the fvcktard of the week posts on analog industries. Most of them feature keytar videos.

Not quite a keytar, but I saw a video of Ivo Papasov's band (The greatest band in the world, bar none, IMHO) playing on TV from the '80s. Neshko Neshev, the accordion player, at one point took a crappy casiotone, propped it on his knee and his shoulder, and played it like an accordion. That rocked insanely.
