Looking for ARP Axxe Main Board

I own 2 ARP Axxe's, I bought both on ebay, but both had broken Sample hold/Randon switches broke off, they tried to cold solder jumpers to keep it in normal default, however there is now trace damage and I have ran out of options except to replace.
Any of these around excluding eBay?

Rod.

good luck finding two, let alone one.

depending on how much damage there is to the board you might want to consider some point to point soldering to component leads in the damaged trace path(s) and panel mount a replacement switch. it's worth it if you can avoid trashing a fixable board.

Believe it or not but I actually have a trashed Axxe in my workshop! I used it to fix other stuff, but I'm pretty sure the PCB is OK. It is missing quite a few components though, like all the sliders but you can get the PCB cheap from me if you want to. The problem is that I live in Sweden, so shipping won't be that cheap, but it's not that heavy either. Send me a PM if you're interested and I can take some photos for you.

Axxe PCB

Sweet!

Yes I would be interested, Figure out a price and you can email me at donwayn@tx.rr.com. Very much appreciated.

Here is a question:

I had one of my Axxe's working not too long ago, what I did is I swapped out panels because one of the cases was in better shape, when I connected the plugs to the terminals and turned it on, it went to one tone only on the keyboard, portamento did not work, the keyboard responded, but only one note constantly played, I am able to use all the other sliders ok except those 2 problems,

Could this be caused by swapping out and different types of components on each case like on the Power Supply?

Dude you AWSOME !!!!!

It sounds like you just didn't connect the CV correctly somewhere. Or maybe something is wrong with the CV buffer? If the panels were the same I don't think they could be that different, but you could just compare the boards with each other.

I'll send you an email soon.

Have you checked the underside of the key action to make sure that one of the J wires (key contacts) hasn't been bumped and the gate J-wire is not hooked over the contact bar?

Honestly this sounds like you are just in over your head. Any competant tech can rebuild the traces and wire a new switch with the service manual. If you have damaged traces just from that repair imagine how you will damage even more by desoldering all the sliders and soldering them to this new blank board.

Both of these Axxes seem easily salvagable, don't destroy them because your ability isn't up to the task.

LOL! Whatever happened? 4 years with old analog synths is a millisecond.

I wonder in the year 2100 - what Mini Moog Ds will be selling for or a ARP 2600?

I bet Prophet 5's will still sound great.
