Maybe I'm reading the tone wrong, but why the attitude on correct information?
It's not meant to have an attitude. It said whatever, because my question didn't mean anything to me after I thought about it. Even though the 707 has fewer sounds then the 505 (Actually, it has only one more sound, the 505 has more perc) I'd still rather have the 707. Individual outs, an extra kick and snare sound, and a tambourine. The 505 was cheap, and that's why I have one.
@schmuck--Thanks... I've been putting it together for what seems like forever. It's nice that it's finally done (ha!) and I can just make music with it.

When you do a Google Image Search, whoever's website the image is on may not like that you're pasting it on another forum. This is done so that if you'd put it in the NY Times front page, the server wouldn't be reduced to a molten slagheap because suddenly a bazillion people visit it instead of just that one weird aunt who likes cat pictures. Besides reducing serves to molten slagheaps, images from other sites also increase the bandwidth bill at the end of the month.
"But Yoozer, I can see the picture!". Yes, of course you can; you visited the site, the picture's stored in your webbrowser's cache memory, so even though the site says "nuh-uh", your browser says "uh-huh!" and that's why you see the picture and everyone else on the forum doesn't.
So, assume first and foremost that whoever's hosting the image would not like a bill for 1) the slagheap (née server) and 2) the bandwidth.
Solution: Image hosts!
1) go to imgur: the simple image sharer
2) click the "Web" button below "Upload images"
3) paste the address of the site that you're on, in this case http://www.riverscoops.com/Ben_Jerry...h__1959003.jpg
4) click "Upload"
5) wait a sec
6) click the text below "BBCode (message boards and forums) because you're posting this on a messageboard. It should automatically select the (img) stuff below it and you can copy that to the textbox you type your post in.
Result:
and imgur doesn't care about the bill. Neither does Imageshack (which works in a similar way).
If the pictures are really small - e.g. not 8 megapixel grainy cellphone shots of 23 megapixel DSLR shots of your studio, just click "advanced" and upload the file as an attachment. You'll still make your point, and for GS it's a drop in the bucket.
The more you know!
(and this is not to find a way to be a condescending ass towards you, but it's a lesson many people on forums should learn because all too often their image results in a "BANDWIDTH EXCEEDED" file or something nastier, because the webserver processing the request can see that whoever was linking to the image wasn't doing so from their own site).

Hey, for electro funk, which synths get the most use, would you say? I just have a Juno 60, Motif (covers a few bases, some good DX sounds on there, and a couple of prophet 5 type brass sounds), and a moog little phatty.
I guess i'm asking... how's the mono/poly! I know Chromeo use it a lot.
Cheers
It's all over Chromeo's Business Casual album. P-Thugg even describes it as their secret weapon and I can see why. The MP4 is extremely versatile. It sits beautifully above the Juno 60, and I don't just mean visually, I'm talkin about the mix. They complement each other soo well. What the Juno lacks in multiple osc, unison, sync, xmod, the monopoly makes up. Where the Korg falls a little short is the huge, rich poly sounds which the Juno excels at with a great filter and chorus. But, for everything else, the korg blows any and all competition away with its features and sonic variety.
The Juno is great for bass also. If I could only have 2 synths, it would be this combo.
I even thought about selling the voyager but it has it's own place in the mix. For ultra tight powerful bass lines and sub filter fx, its still the king. I agree with you though, sometimes it can be a little too tubby when all you want is something that cuts through with loads of character.
I love the Korg and will never sell it. If you haven't listened to all of Chromeo's new material, definitely check it out. Listen for their model D bass lines, monopoly lead combo. The Pro One would be a good compromise between the MOOG and Korg sounds. It too has a very funky retro sound. I'd still like to get one someday. Unfortunately, even the fixer-uppers are goin for over $1000 on eBay now...

If Mefistophelees is your real name, you're clearly accustomed to darkness.

I think you could do well to sell the phatty and get a MonoPoly...for electro funk it can do great boogie bass...the guy from Chromeo uses it a lot for that over a Moog...do you really need a Moog? If so look at a Prodigy or Source...but maybe you might want a 2 Osc poly...
Got a new Space... Just managed to roughly put everything together. No acoustic treatment jet... the measurement will be done next week... maybe i have to change everything again :/ lets wait what the audio-guy tells me... so here ya go, the first shots :D
Yeah i need 3 more to get where i want to be. You can check them out too: Malekko B:Assmaster (put that on a moog or a 101 and it freakin rocks!), 2 ehx tube-eqs (cant afford the neve pres, but its a cheap alternative if you want warm up sound in the daw), a cluster flux (that chorus will sound nice on everything) :D

I second that, the moog is better suited for 70's prog rock, which I also enjoy. Listening to Chromeo some more, swan is absolutely right, most of the bass lines are actually made with the korg, so it does get down low enough. You definitely don't need a moog for 80's electro.
And yes, it is always nice having a 2 osc poly around.
