The new, slimmed down, more fun studio. Quite a change in the last month...

The real tube I have only for 1 week now, haven't had a change to try it out.
I may just make a new thread out of it, comparing the two.

I had the same reaction when I saw it the first time on a smal pic, for sale on the local CL.
Didn't know what it was.....
I did know I wanna to have it...
It's a Stage Accompany PPE 2410 Programmable parametric EQ.

It has Midi too...

btw, I forgot the most important instrument in my studio, my bass.
This is the first bass that I've build myself, I also made a 5 stringer, and I have a Warwick Thumb NT4.
The neck for this bass is made out of 3 piece's, sapupira/jatoba/sapupira and the body is Padouk with a yellowheart fingerboard.
It has a set of Alembic Jazz bass pup's under that pup cover.
This is a volkswagen with a porsche engine.
That bass sound's sweet.

The 5 stringer

This one I'm working on now...
Also a 4 stringer.
This one has a walnut body with a birdseye maple top and a yellowheart neck with a sapupira fingerboard.

It has a carbon nut and carbon rods in the neck for reinforcement.

Thanx!

Being new here, i'll post a picture of my cruddy pride and joy, blue studio, my own little fortress of ideas and sonic experimentation, getting some monitors soon once I kill off some debt collectors and get my passport renewed. (Oh and got my friend saving up all his egg cartons for me

Studio overview

Closeups of mixing desk and reel to reel

Small recording session going on, tape decks rolling.

Wow, sad to hear that man.
I can't even imagine that, your stuff gone.

That is a good looking bass you have made.
What woods have you used?.

Yes, I am still getting very angry about this. I do miss my guitars and we had history together.

Can you believe that years after, an agent asked while shopping for a new insurance, why I did not re-purchase the guitars from money I got? He made it sound this was a very bad thing. What a heartless idiot! Naturally his insurance company did not get my business.

Not much. Basically the costs for the material and hardware. And that was less than the deductible. How do you put a price on something you built with labour of love?

At least they paid very fast, and new price for the Pedulla and Schack. I got my insurance money in two weeks!

You've done it before...
While yur at it...make it a sixer or something, with a tremolo.
That is what I want to do one day, build a bass with a tremolo.
A Kahler tremolo...

This was the prototype, I actually had two more necks and two bodies (laminated with cherry-wenge-cherry) for a fretted and un-fretted version. But due to my move across the globe, I gifted the parts to someone who wanted to finish them. For now I am focusing on finishing my studio...

yeah...

It's to make that "wobble bass" type sound.

You should hear that low B string.
