It's just a regular office desk that I repurposed.

Yes, the XL It's massive-sounding and it is what I've been craving - a semi-modular keyboard - and virtually no menus either. Having a Source, I never really gassed for the Voyager, but this is a different beast. It's really fun to setup a patch and then scroll through the presets to hear what happens.

I love the extended keyboard since you can go high or low without having to flip a switch during a solo. It is by far the best-built synth I own and it's a beautiful instrument to boot. The syncable LFO is a huge addition too.

I know a lot of people were put off by the price, but I feel like I got my money's worth on an instant classic that I will keep forever. I remember paying $3,200 for my OB8 back in 1982, so $5K almost 30 years later is no big deal. It's a relative bargain in the music world for a top-notch instrument. Even in the everyman world of Moog, paying an extra grand for an extended keyboard, ribbon controller, MIDI-syncable LFO and nice all-in-one package is a great value. It's not something I could afford ten or twenty years ago, but timing is everything. I give it a big, groovy thumbs-up !

Seconded. Everything you need right there. Man I want some jomox samples! I'd love to pick up an Airbase or something, sample the hell out of it, and sell it on.

Anyway what is that lovely purple and yellow effects box? I've seen it before but I can't recall what it is.

The pictures only show the stuff I use. There's FRXS, Kurzweil, Little Phatty, etc. which I don't use and aren't shown in these pictures....

After a year out from making music and selling 90% of my studio I'm happy to say I binned my girlfriend and am putting a new studio together!!!

Of course it would have been rude not to include a MPC3000! Think I'm on my 4th now!!!!!!!!

My Stuffz

Hello everyone!

Here's my setup. Not shown is my Yamaha TX81Z, Oberheim Matrix 1000, M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 (not really using it either), and CZ-101. I never realized GAS was a serious problem! I just started getting this gear in February!
