Electronic Music Instruments Gear Porn thread (pics of your slutty synth setups)

i thought, well what the heck.. all other forums have this thread already, so why not this one too ?!??

there were occasional pic posts in the "what's in your analog collection" thread, but thought this one should cover it all..

so, bring it on.. analog, digital synths, samplers, beatboxes etc.. effects and recording gear are welcome too.

(my humble suggestion, if u can keep it within 1024x768, and 150k-ish limits, so page load doesn't become a slow n painful experience. thanks).

me too. i've got a yello 32v Q and a mWXT rack. love them both, although it'd be nice to upgrade to a Q+ and sell off the yello one, notwithstanding its colorful sexiness!

Sony SDMHS95PS 19" LCD
(this model has the DVI input)

Honestly, they are the BEST flat screen LCDs I have ever worked on. Everyone who sees them in person can't believe how sharp, clear and full of contrast they are. I actually enjoy them just as much as a high-end CRT (i do design work as well) and would never trade these in for anything.

@pounce: killer setup.

a question: i see u use a big console, so i presume OTB mixing. do u print your HW synths, to be able to edit/adjust for midi inaccuracies, or u go direct into mix ? midi interface?

im thinking of going back to OTB, but midex n nuendo are giving me hell timing-wise when i drive those vintages.. . unless its pad or slo lines i always need to fix the timing a bit (like on arpeggios n sh*t)

my stuff can bee heard/seen here: http://www.babic.com/portfolio.php

i definately at least sum OTB, use the outboard gear i have (compressors, verbs, etc.), and if only out of habit i expect to stay in an actual mixer for a while. the pictures, from 2006, still show my older analogue board. now i am using a yamaha dm2000, all 96 channels of it. that gets me a pretty killer DAW interface, lots of IO, good clock and coverters, and i just plain like it.

since i can send many individual channels in to the computer, i've gotten used to doing pretty typical multi track recording of the synths into the daw where i can mess around with stuff. no doubt the vintage gear sounds great but might have looser timing. i don't do the BT thing of editing every note to sample accuracy, i simply don't mind a little looseness. but i am given to editing and messing around with stuff in the box. right now i'm using DP mostly, but i have logic and am trying to get up to speed on it since it's feature set seems good for the kind of midi setups i'm seeing in this thread.

now i'm off to listen to some of the audio clips in the thread.
