Wow! That's a nice looking Starclassic! I love that green flake! If anyone is looking for a trick way to mount a microphone on your kick drum, give these a try! Totally eliminates the need for extra stands on the kick drum mic! www.drummicrophonemounts.com

| Moderator | I'm selling a prototype Zildjian 22" Ride that was made for Dennis Chambers. It's a really cool sounding cymbal and for fans out there: Dennis's name is even etched into the stamp! Its serial 007 and has been played very little! Make me an offer! |

I've got two Tama Superstar kick drums for sale. Both are traditional depth drums, not power-depth. One is a 24" and one 22". Let me know if you want to see pics. They're in Texas. Shipping on the 22" isn't that big of a deal, but the 24 is huge. It's too big to ship outside of the US and even fairly expensive if it goes too far in the US. Man, do they sound great though. Cherry wine if you're curious. m

I would have kept my old set of Superstars if the toms were traditional depths and not power toms that were 5 feet deep.

One more metal snare to add to the mix. How about a 5x14 Ludwig Supra from 1966... It's got the usual flaking all over, the hoops and lugs have their share of some crud on them as well. I'm sure a good cleaning would clean up a lot of this. It's funny...it never matters how these Supras look, they always sound amazing. That's what cracks me up when all these modern drum makers talk about precise bearing edges, shells that don't go out of round and such.....these old drums can be out of round, rusted and everything and still sound killer. Luck of the draw I guess. This one has the keystone badge, baseball bat muffler arm...missing the pad inside (who uses them anyway?). OK....first $200 takes this one. I'm heading to Austin/SXSW right now, so won't be able to check emails or send pics or anything. If you want it, I'll take the first email and work down from there. I really wish someone here would get this and not ebay. later, m

4x14" Craviotto Cherry solid shell snare I just built this drum a couple months ago and now I'm upgrading the monitors in my studio, so some non-essential things are being moved out. I bought the shell and built the rest here. Has a Dunnett R-Class throw and tube lugs. I'm effectively asking for my cost in parts. $350+shipping obo ![]()

'68 Ludwig Acrolite I'm selling a '68 Acro; this is from before the gray paint was standard, so it's a raw aluminum shell (MUCH better looking, IMO). Some surface scratches and it's been missing the internal muffler since before I owned it. One of the classic recording snares! Has the original P-83 throw (and it still works very well). I will also include a Kaces padded bag with the drum. $150+shipping obo ![]() Last edited by bleen; 17th July 2007 at 06:52 PM.. Reason: price drop

WTB: Gretsch Burnt Orange Square Badge Drum(s) I'm really looking for a 16" Gretsch '80s or '90s gloss Burnt Orange floor tom to add to my '85 kit, but I would consider complete kits to get the floor tom. I have 8"x14" snare, 16"x24" bass, 11"x13" and 12"x14" toms, and a 16"x18" floor tom. There is a 16" mounted tom on Ebay right now, but I don't really like mounted drums that large and I don't like mixing mounted drums with floor toms. Any leads appreciated...

FS: DW 5002A Double Pedal- like new!! I'm selling my 3mo old DW 5002A Accelerator double pedal because I'm going back to my Iron Cobra. Light use in the studio only, never gigged. The DW beaters have never been used. Includes all the original accessories and hard plastic carrying case. This pedal is as-new but is more than $75 less than a new one would be. $275+shipping ![]()

FS: Ludwig Acrolite Early 70s 5x14 OK, this one's not pretty, but I have to clear out a few drums. I've owned this one since the 70s myself and really hate to get rid of it, but I've got so many other Supra or Supra-ish drums that I just don't play this one anymore. It sounds great, just like them all, but here are the things that are less than mint on this one: shell painted black...by me in the 70s. You know, that vintage black krylon is so much fatter than the new stuff. You just can't get that painted sound anymore. Seriously, I think that it tones down just the metallic ring that these sometimes has. I really like what it did to this drum. I'm sure it could be removed if need be. Also, the adjuster knob on the muffler is missing. I'd just remove the whole thing as you'll never use it, but hey, it's there...leave as is, find the part on ebay for about $5 or remove it. A bit of rust on the strainer...oh, it's a P85 btw...the other chrome is nice, just crud on it. Nothing a good cleaning won't get off. I believe the top rim has an ever so slight ding in it too, but it appears to be round. Again, none of this stuff matters as the drums sounds killer and that's what it's all about right? I just slapped a new set of snare wires on here, but you'll probably need new heads as I put a brand new black dot on top and an ambassador on the bottom. I didn't have a hazy sd head for the bottom as i usually like, but you'll probably want your own preference on there anyway. The first $75 takes it. The snares alone were $25. For $100, I'll put it in a vintage slingerland hard plastic snare case. You pay shipping, but I'd imagine I can ship it to the US48 for around $15-20 at most. I can send pics if you need them...just haven't taken them yet. I'm in Texas...I guess we need to add location these days. m

I just signed on with Trick Drums, and am pretty sure I'm going to be selling some of my Yamaha Maple Customs. I am really struggling with this for nostalgic reasons (first pro drum kit, made my living using it, touring/sessions, etc. It's tough letting go). I'm thinking I'm going to sell: Mounted Toms 8x10, 8x12, 10x12 Floor Toms 14x14, 16x16 Bass Drum 16x22 I'll also include a Pearl Marvin "Smitty" Smith snare drum 4x14. Asking price: $2,200 + shipping.

FA: Fibes Snare from the 60s Here's a cool old drum that I'm selling to finance other purchases. It appears to be a really clean Fibes Crystalite snare from the 60s. It's missing the stick-on badge, but very clean otherwise. No cracks or anything goofy. I'm not sure if there was a muffler or not, but this one doesn't have it. Probably a good thing if you ask me. Chrome looks great. Add some decent heads and you've got a killer studio snare. Remember, this drum pretty much made Buddy Rich switch over to Fibes back in the 60s. He even played one of these after he left them for other vendors. If that's not a good enough endorsement, I don't know what is. Fibes Crystalite Snare w/ SFT Strainer - 60s Vintage - (eBay item 320188407006 end time Dec-02-07 06:11:54 PST) later, m
