BASTARD.

i love how i can hear little timing inconsistencies here, a slightly rushed fill there, and absolutely none of it matters because the groove is so unbelievably sweet, the very definition of "feel."

what is this clip from? where is that constant 16th note chatter coming from?

Watch the beginning again- it's the fingers of his left hand on the snare.
Amazing.

I think a lot of the inconsistency is there only because he's talking. I would wager a bet that it would be flawless minus the thought he's putting into speaking.

This is either already, or will become the most sampled piece of all time. Im sure every slut will have it on their demo's.

Bernard is a master.

I recall reading (somewhere) about him setting up a mirror, so he could admire how 'Pretty' he was while he tracked!

SOOOOoooo relaxed.

MAN he has some fine touch, light playing dynamics! Purdie and Stubblefield are the FONK KINGS. Thank JB for hiring them.

I wanna go play the kit Now.

Anybody else see and hear the similarity between Martin Yan ("Yan Can Cook") and Bernard Purdie?
