Thread Starter | Simultaneous hits on Yamaha DTXPress IV
If you own, or did own the Yamaha DTXPress IV, did you get trigger cancellations when you hit 2 pads at the same time? It's a pretty annoying phenomenon and I wonder if you guys found a solution for that if it happened to you also on your kit.

Hmm... Never used this kit, but this problem is common on the Roland TD9's apparently. I had this problem on my TD9, and fixed it by simply updating the firmware. Maybe this would work for your kit?

Thread Starter | The firmware can't be updated on the IV module. In any case, I may have found the problem last night: On the IV, I use the SP Dyna trigger preset because it's more sensitive to soft hits. However, its rejection parameters were set up so that 2 hits on 2 pads at the same time were considered leakage and stopped from firing. I tried another trigger preset, tested its response with two hits and if it worked, I just imported the rejection parameter values to the SP Dyna preset and copied it as a user preset. The response is much improved, but it remains to be seen if I'll get misfire now.

I have that problem with some of the user kits on my Dtxplorer, it's absolutely terrible.
