Thread Starter | Cheap and cheerful percussion for a gigging folkies
(That should read "for a gigging folkie") I'm recording an album of folk songs with a singer who accompanies herself on (fingerpicked) guitar. Best vocals I'm getting are when I just let her sing and accompany herself - speeding up, slowing down, extra beat here and there etc... My original plan (rex percussion loops) ain't gonna' happen. I've an egg shaker. I am also considering one of the Log Jam "Logarhythm" things for an easy way to add a regular tap/pulse. Anything else cheap and cheerful that is going to be easy for me to generate a bit of percussion while following the tempo(s) of her original vocal + guitar track? Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions. |
