i know ebay of course. im am looking for a vintage ludwig gold coast or slingerland 286 cocktail kit. or a small vintage kit. any good dealers you can recommend me to also. thanks

If you want great stuff, but top-dollar... Steve Maxwell or Cherie Willoughby Bobby at Jollity Drum Farm has some great stuff and he's good to deal with as well.

Certainly I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steve Maxwell (online and stores in NY and Chicago). You pay a premium, but for that you get quality guarantees, authenticity, great customer service and knowledgeable staff - including Steve himself.
