Help with triggering drums

I was looking to trigger my snare and bass drum using a macbook, battery 3 ddrum triggers and a roland interface. I have been searching for information how to actually map battery 3 to recognize the trigger. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? I have signal from the triggers but can not get battery 3 to recognize the input from the triggers. Thanks!
