I think I'm officially a "gearslut"

Hello Forum mates!
This all came about very sudden and quite unexpected.....long story there....(my wife bought me the Gretsch 125yr Anniversary snare - 4.5x14 - you see in my Avatar for our 25th Anniversary Dec 30 2010 - bless her heart for that). Wicked nice Champagne Sparkle Nitron finish!

Today I ordered a Gretsch Custom USA shellpack to complete the CS picture (1418bd/812tom 1414 floor) - I already own a 58 kit & a 2007 PWAM Renown kit - along with verious orphan drums. I did however sell four of my snare drums that were very dear to me today to put the down payment on the new Gretsch drums.......so I'm not a Hoarder ........like my wife thinks I am......in a good way.

I was trying to get enough cash together to buy one of those beautiful RAYA shellpacks. The only way I could have done that would be to sell my Valje conga collection........and that was not coming together. I've been trying to sell them for the past two years. I gave it a good shot but nadda.....

It's going to be a while before I actually receive them. I am in the "queue" though. And...I don't mind the wait - these drums are well worth the wait imo.

Cheers,
