I don't hang out in this section a lot, so maybe this has been posted many times before, but it's a nice little Mike Portnoy video breaking down some of the time signatures on some DT songs. It's pretty interesting. One cool thing is that he'll keep a cymbal going in a steady 4/4 type of thing, but then the underlying pattern changes between an even numbered and odd numbered beat pattern, so that every other type the cymble is either on the beat of off the beat. That would make my brain sieze up. Towards the end I think he discusses some of his favorite hair products as well.
