Thread Starter | Vintage Ludwig Snares and the P-83 v P-85 Strainers i have a couple quick questions that i'm sure someone on here has answers to. i'm wondering if the mounting screw spacings for the p-83 and p-85 strainers are the same? i.e. is it possible to directly swap a p-83 with a p-85 and vice versa? also, which of the two do any of you prefer? thanks. and also, i know i'm a noob to GS, but i can assure you, had i known about this forum years ago, i'd've been posting on here for daaayyyys. haha i've become addicted to this forum. tho i feel confident that i know a fair amount about various aspects of music production and performance and recording, no one can ever know too much. and i'm quite thankful for finding this place where i can come to learn new things every day. seriously, why google when you can just ask the slutz? =) |

Yes, the P83, 85 and 86 all have the same hole spacing. The 80, 82 and 87 do not. |
