Thread Starter | Electronic Drum Samplers - Help
Hey guys, couldn't find any specific info on this... I use drum triggers and run them into a yamaha drum module, the module is one of only a few that allow you to load your own samples onto them however even then, you can't really store much. It's been really good when I have wanted to just load some big electronic kick drum sounds as well as a few snares however I have purchased a few pads as well now with the aim to trigger a few 'whooshes' as well as a few longer loop based samples and I can't fit all the samples I want to onto it....However, it does have midi in/out/thru so I was thinking of hooking it up to another sampler (I have a roland SP-404 lying around somewhere and that has a midi in), how would I be able to get this to work so that the module syncs up to the sampler and only takes the 'beats' off the sampler...? Or would I have to just bite the bullet and start using a laptop live? I would really prefer to just use another sampler as I don't really trust the reliability of a laptop in a live situation and often we play gigs where a pretty quick set-up is required and so a laptop would just add excess set up time.... any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Jack |
