Is my NS10 Kick Mic working properly?

Hi all,

I recently took an old NS10 cone and turned it into a kick mic. I'm not really sure how its suppose to sound so I've posted samples of my main mic (Audix D6) and my NS10 'mic'.

Would be great to hear from experienced users of this method if my NS10 cone is producing the sound it should.

Thanks,

J

Clip is too short to tell.
The sound is supposed to be mostly low end, almost sub frequency.
It's not supposed to sound like a regular kick mic.
