"The Meters" drum recordings

Hi! There are threads about somewhat similar sounds, but I am still curious to what kind om mics/positioning were used on older the Meters albums such as "Struttin'" f.ex.
I am guessing one overhead plus kick and maybe a snare mic. But it would be interesting to know a little more specifics!F.ex was the kick miced outside, was the resonant head whole etc.? It is a great sound from an obviously very talented drummer!!

You might get some info by looking up "Cosimo Matassa" or "Cosimo Recording Studio".
Matassa is in charge of that recording and he did develop the New Orleans Sound.
