Thread Starter | choosing a versitile deep snare
I'm looking for a versatile deep snare, that can be tunned either high with a nice crack, or low and splatty. I'm not a drummer, so any suggestions? new or old. Preferably under $500. thanks |

I have an early 80s Ludwig Coliseum 14x8 slotted that will make your ear drums bleed . Great for that BIG gated 80s sound. Also used it with with a few different coated heads and found some really nice indie rock sounds hiding in there. Not sure if you can find one anymore and Im pretty sure they go for quite a bit now but its worth mentioning. thumbsup
