Thread Starter | What mics to use?
Hello, I am a soundguy for local shows in my area. I'm trying to help out a few bands starting out by offering free recording sessions. I have an assortment of mics for my live use, but i'm wondering how to mic up drums for home recording [which mics to use on each drum] I have 4 SM58's 4 SM57's 2 SP-C4 condensor mics [cardioid and omni caps] and a cheap CAD 7 piece drum mic kit with 2 condensors [cardiod] i'll be plugging them into a 16 channel mixer, mixing them, going through a Tascam US-122, and into a laptop as 2 channels. Any tips would be greatly appreciated |
