saving a few old live drum tracks - possible to quantisize?

Hi
I am just wondering if this is possible or not.
I have a couple of old drum tracks that were put down a while back in haste.
no metronome or anything was used and the drums seem to speed and slow down here and there.
They are currently in 10 tracks as they were recorded.
While i know it may pull some of the feel out is there any way of quantisizing them to some sort of time code or is this just not done with live drum tracks.
any advice appreciated.
thanks
liam

Not to be a smartass.. but have you listened to any record recorded in the last 15 years? You really think drummers are all just THAT good now?

Google 'beat detective'.

I would probably approach this by finding the fastest part of the song and set your tempo to that. Then start breaking up the grouped tracks into maybe like 10 or more sections or so and slide them so they are more in line with the grid. Then back trim, then crossfade, then consolidate the entire drum track. From this point on, you will have a drum track that sorta goes along with the grid and you should be able to beat detect.
