Thread Starter | Drumagog - where to find unprocessed samples?
anybody knows where can i find unprocessed , natural and rich sounding samples for Drumagog? I`m tired of tons artificial hyperedited samples ....I`m working with my band demo and all we need is to replace some crap from drum tracks - mainly snare , sometimes kick ...i own Drumagogs library but it is not very usefull for me - i prefer warmer and fatter snares from folk/alternative rock side rather than super compressed smashed explosive sounding samples from Steve Slate.....

Make your own samples dude! What Snares you have or can borrow? A stainles steel snare 14x6,5 or even deeper. For a different flavor get a wooden drum. Make sure you have new heads and a functioning snare wire and strainers. You got somebody who can tune a drum or realy can tune a drum your self? There should be plenty of options with 2 snares, different tunings and ways to record. This usualy is a good idea to do before recording. Being prepared is the key to get you to the point were you want to go.

| http://www.rock-drums.com Rock Drums and UltraDrums have processed and unprocessed samples, so you can do your own processing.

Try these samples of mine, they are unprocessed but cut nicely: Unprocessed snare: Free Custom Mahogany Snare Samples Unprocessed toms and kicks: Freesound.org - pack: TomsAndKicks by pjcohen - you have to register with FreeSound, but it's way worth it, you might find something else there you like. ![]() (Please credit if you use any of these in a commercial mix) ![]() -- Phill Cohen |
