You might try a Zildjian K-Custom Dry Ride. I own one, it's very dark sounding, but has enough definition that it doesn't get lost. Make sure you try different stick tips on it, they really change how this cymbal responds.

Buy Zildjian K Custom Dry Ride online at Musician's Friend

If you can find them, the K-Custom Special Dry Hats were sweet, too. They've been discontinued.

Maybe a Paiste Dark Energy Crash would work, or one of those old Sabian Radia (if you can find one). They were Terry Bozzio's Sig. Cymbals.

We have a DW drum kit tuned low and the skins sound good. We need HH, 1 crash and 1 ride. Currently we have Hand hammered sabian cymbals and they are too thin and cutting. Any suggestions.
Thicker cymbals tend to be higher in pitch. If you are looking for dark, a thin cymbal in a larger diameter are probably what you want to look for

Thinner cymbals are usually darker. If you have the budget rent some old K's. If not try Turkish hand made brands like Istanbul or Bosphorous. Hand hammered jazz cymbals are also available at Zildjian and Sabian.
The best way to pick a cymbal is to hear it. Important: While trying out cymbals at the music store, take an individual stand and move it away from the other cymbals.

You might also want to look into larger diameter cymbals (15" hats, 24" rides, etc.). The larger diameter lowers the pitch of the cymbal and can make it much more manageable and easier to mix. The larger diameter cymbals tend to have less of the high-end "white noise" that smaller/brighter cymbals can give off.

Meinl Byzance 15" HH or 15" Zildjian Sweet HH

20" and 22" Byzance Jazz Thin and Extra Thin Rides AS CRASHES, very warm sounding

As ride I like 22" Meinl Spectrum Ride or Zildjian K Dark Dry Ride

I also think the Sabian Manhattan ride 20/22 are warm Crashes.
