Identifying 70's ludwig kits

I'm looking at an early 70s ludwig kit to purchase. I want to know if it has 3 ply shells. Does anyone know how to tell for sure?

The kit has no serial on the B/O badge so I believe this makes it very early 70s. Inside there is no paint but there is a very heavy laquer that gives the wood a dark yellow/orange look. The shell also fells very think.

Any advise???

Thanks!
matt

thanks for the input. I believe them to be 3 ply also. Just wondering if there was a definitive way to tell. either way it's still a nice ludwig kit!

thanks.
