What Intervals To Tune The Drums To?

I've seen it discussed in a few threads about how tuning the drums to a song can make a big difference, and I agree. Just wondering what intervals or musical notes that YOU tune to. Thanks in advance.

What ever fits the song and is in the tuning range of the instument.

If you tune for a complete set/gig you should try to figure out what the most commen note of the soungs are.

Than again I find it more imortant to tune the set to the room and it's optimum tuning range as well as a some what even charakter all around the set.

I don't think you will find a huge percentage of people advocating tuning drums to the key of a song.

drum tuning

Tuning Drums to the key of the song is pretty ridiculous, but tuning intervals makes a huge difference, try a perfect fourth (e-a) between floor and rack tom, and the snare either a major or minor third above that (a to c/c#).
this will open up the sound of your kit a lot
as for the bass drum, try an octave below the snare
