Thread Starter | Electronic Drums - MIDI to USB ?
Hello, I don't know much about electronic drums, but I bought BFD 2 and I just did an entirelly ep for a metal band using only it for the drums and I love it! I always recorded live drums at the studios that I work for, but now I realize that I can buy some electronic drums and use it with the bfd for budget projects at home (I don't have enough space for real drums in my homestudio) Now, what drums do you suggest? I ONLY need midi, I don't need it to have its own sounds or module, only a midi out..and if it is USB it will be great. I am searching it and until now I only found the alesis usb drumkit, but I really don't need the sound module. Is there anything like what I want out there? thanks! |

The Alesis Trigger I/O is a MIDI interface that allows you to use whatever kit you want. It just sends the Midi signal to the software.

Couldnt you also setup triggers on an acoustic kit to save some money? Just let your clients bring their own kit (which they would probably prefer to an electronic kit anyways, comfort wise.) and trigger it?
