Thread Starter | Tuning The Kick Of A Full Kit Recording
Howdy, I've recorded a full drum kit and I want to tune the kick to go with the bass. But do I just tune the kick or do I need to retune the whole kit? Or is this just a bad idea? Andy |

Bad idea. You should have started with tuneing the kick before you recorded it. Anyway, try pitchshifting it and have a listen.

I've pitch-shifted my share of kicks in my time. Why not? Consider drum replacement: if swapping in a totally different sample (of course tuned differently) can work, then why shouldn't pitching up or down a kick work?
