| Black Swamp Snares Anyone use Black Swamp snares? I am thinking of ordering an S3 solid shell zebrawood. Just wondering if there are any black swamp users out there? |

| Black Swamp Snares I work at an all percussion shop in Dallas and have played many Black Swamp snare drums. The Black Swamp snare drums are designed as concert snare drums, however they are very cool especially with the Multisonic snare strainer. I have played many Pearl and Black Swamp solid shell snares and I have never found a solid wood shell to be anything more than "ok" for drum set. SO if you are going to order one I would either get a metal shell or a Ply maple shell. Also the cable snares coated, un-coated or what have you, are very "dry" sounding compared to what you typically find on a drum set snare so you might want to replace them once you get it, if you do that then you might want to replace them. Hope that helps! Reese

| I have used Black Swamps for my concert snare drumming. They are great snares for that purpose. They are an all around great company. |

| thanks for the help. I went with a Truth snare, but it was tempting to order the Black Swamp. I know I know... |
