armand serie Zyldjian

hi guys,
non drummer here. I have a full kit for the studio and I use lots of sabian. AX and HHX, ranges from smooth (studio and Manhattan) to bright (A custom from Z and Rock, stage)
Was thinking about this new Armand, vintage type as an addition to my gear.
any opinion

Thanks

Oli

I have a bunch of Zildjians from the 60's and 70's and highly recommend them if you can get your hands on some. They usually aren't super expensive in my experience either.

Vintage is always a nice option.. but for new cymbals - the Armands are VERY nice, and not too expensive.

Also check out Dream cymbals - some of the golden drum ears at drumforum have been raving about them (and they're still fairly cheap!)

I have a Armand 18" medium thin crash and I love it. It does have a nice "classic" sound to it. I find it to be a really well balanced cymbal.

True, but Dream's are VERY inconsistent. Really need to hear before you buy with those.

Swerve the Armands - buy some old A's on ebay - plenty there, a half-decent one will wipe the floor with the Armand, if its the real old-A style sound you're after.
