Cool old Sonor kit on ebay

Not mine, but I wish it was. You don't see rosewood kits too often.

Great sounding kits this old Sonors!

They have the nicest warp finishes too!
Then again this one is a beauty!

Old Sonor Kits

The downside is that the lugs are metric; don't lose the tension rods or you may have a hell of a time replacing them. Also as you notice from the photos, the tension rods are slotted at the top, so you can't use a standard drum key; you need a quarter or a flat blade screwdiver... Kind of a PITA

I had an early 70's Sonor kit when I was in college, and those things drove me nuts. The kit sounded great though, and took quite a beating for a number of years...
