| Gear addict | Anyway to find out what drumset I have?(n00b question)
Is there anyway specifically, I can find out what brand drumset I have? I looked all around Slingerland online, and couldn't find my specific set, so now I'm wondering if it even is a Slingerland.

Does it have badges on it anywhere? How about tags or stamps inside the shells? |

Got one badge that says DIA Deluxe, it's on the bass drum.

Sounds like it's made by DIA, which I've never heard of.

And I googled it too, nothing. But yet the bass drum head which I never switched in my 3 years of owning it(ouch!), reads, 'Slingerland'.

post a photo of the lugs each company has distinctive hardware and maybe someone would recognize them. If not here, there are some vintage drum sites with tons of people that can not only tell you what brand, but what year. likely however, given the absence of badges, that your kit is a "DIA" which I never heard of either. Most name-brand drums have badges somewhere and no sane person would pry them off...

| well, they look like drums ![]() I mean come on, way too blurry to be able to even begin to guess at a brand there is no need to show the full drum set - all drums look alike at that distance- they are all cylinders with heads! you need to zoom all the way in on ONE lug. The shape of the lug in name-brand drum sets is distinctive and might give some clues as to the make. close up of any badges or engravings, too. and hold it steady tutt |

Well after HEAVY research I found out that they are Japanese drums. Are these even worth restoring and fixing-up?

| based solely on a gigantic blurry photo, a name brand no one has heard of, and the fact that your heavy research has pinpointed the country of origin, you want us to tell you if they are worth fixing up? You got me, when you first posted I did not realize you were putting us on. |
