Thread Starter | A really crazy setup?? (with pics)

That's strange indeed ![]() Some people like to use speakers on the Kick to increase the sub of the BD. Maybe monitoring for when they're warming up and when they record they use headphones? |

you can if you connect the speaker to a preamp you can use it as a microphone sometimes this is good for capturing lower frequencies |

yeah...I can see the one in front of the kick being used for a sub kick but I don't get the other one off to the side.

It just thickens up the kit alot. If I do, I put a speaker behind the drummer. You solo that track up and all of a sudden it sounds like it slowed down. It works well with metal(the genre) drums because with all those notes the drums don't resonate so well so you can have the attack they like and the body and density that everybody likes....
