Anyone have any pics of some kick drum risers? I just bought a new set of Sonors with a 20" kick and I need to get it up off the ground so the beater hits the center of the drum. Any pics or info would be great Thanks ! |

20" bass drums need no "riser". Just set up your pedal properly.

Can't get the right action on the pedal, the bottom of the beater rod touches the skin. I'll try to figure something out... |

The legs on the kick don't extend? Most modern kits have kick legs that can be telescoped longer with adjustment. Go long enough to make the kick meet the beater at the same angle. Raising the legs will angle the kick toward the beater. Doing that should get the automatically beater rod out of the way. If not, just hack that sucker down. |

"set up your pedal properly" that some advice. should we be supporting and helping fellow drummers, isnt that the point of this whole forum? listen, i had the same problem with my yamaha maple 20x18 kick. if you get a hold of a modern drummer magazine...check out the classifieds and you'll find they sell the bracket that goes under your kick drum to raise it so that the beater hits it smack dab in the center. good luck. |

I managed to build this after checking out some other risers. It works pretty good so far. Yeah that "nandoanalog" guy is such a ****** he never says anything useful. Any way I agree with the guy I quoted the bracket is probably your best solution. | |
