decisions decisions :(~ to cut this-way or that-way

so, Roundbadge, and all the in the know drum CATS around here, bearing edge input requested.
i am restoring a mid to late fifties WFL snare, ( mahogany spelling? ), and in doing so i need to re-cut the bearing edges.
the decision,
should i cut then at 45 degrees pretty much leaving the edge were it is, for better attack?
or should cut them more round for a darker sound?
all input welcome and needed:)~

what do you want the drum to do in the end?
It really depends on what sound your after, you might wanna try starting out a little sharper...if there's too much ring you can always round em out a little.
On the other hand,I'm a fan of letting the drum do its natural thing.mahogany is a darker more bassy sound.rounder edges would be cool, give it it's potential for the good fatness the drum should have.
hard to tell without hearing it in person, they all have little differences..especially the older ones

i have never had one of these in my hands, so i am not sure what to expect from it with the new sharp or round bearing edges.
i just freed the drum of its clamps, and fixture, so i will probably cut the edges today, or sometime this week.
i still have to many other things i need to be doing, but this is more fun:)~
i am leaning to the fat, darker, more bassy sound.
