Thread Starter | DW makes a 23" kick...
After a little web search, they also make a 21" kick... Who makes the odd size heads? I know there are 13" and 15" and heads, but never heard of 21" and 23". Neil Peart has been playing a 23". |

| yep. he uses the DW heads on it, too. that may be your only source for a 23in head. Neil said something to the effect that the 23in kick gives the sound of a 24 with the feel/response of a 22.....without all the extra boom. it makes a lot of sense to me. i'd love to try one out. cheers, wade |

I never really understood why they don't make odd sizes for all the drums. I like the sound of an 8" and a 10" but I think a 9" would probably be perfect. Actually, I think I'd prefer a 9" rack and an 11" rack along with a 15" floor.

Odd sizes are great, i'd love to see more. If I could only have one Fl. tom it would be a 15".
