| Definately restricted to rock music, but do a great job in that genre. Very tight sounding, not as warm as the full bubinga kits (which sound too warm imo). Value for money is incredible. |

| DYING to play one of the BB's. I have a Starclassic Bubinga/maple kit now and its GREAT for rock. I also have a buddy who is a very well known drummer and endorsed by Tama, he plays worldwide on different Tama kits and he swears by the Starclassic Bubinga/Birch kits. They apparently sound much like the bubinga/maple, but produce a FATTER "wetter" tone. I like the BB kits, but they have to come out with better finishes for them...maybe at NAMM '08? Either way, you cant go wrong with BUBINGA kick drums...THE BEST I've ever heard. |

| Cool, I may still end up with one of these as an alternative set one of these days. but I ended up with a 5 piece '74 slingerland set for half the price.

| The source of bubinga wood is questionable and should be looked into if you care about nature!

| My drum tech has a Starclassic Birch/Bub kit and it sounds incredible. It's close to his Starclassic birch but with extra low end; it just sounds HUGE. An amazing kit; I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up to use as a house kit for rock music (or anyone who wants some huge drums on their record).
