i'll have to check the serials.
..the snare that came with it has the great one piece lugs but the shell is a cheapo..so I'm gonna put the hardware on a new shell..one of the nice curly maple Kellers or vaughncraft solid's sitting in my basement.
I've got a new and old 402 already..so the classic snare vibe is covered
the kit came with a full set of brand new SKB hard cases and a bunch of original ludwig Atlas booms and a bunch of DW stuff.total score

Nice

Gotta love it when you have enough drums to make 2 kits..

You're on a drum buying frenzy!

What do those things sound like?

SWEET dude! thumbsup

Get a decent front head on the kick though!

I did go ahead and order the SS Ludwig/Dunnet Zeppelin reissue. Couldn't pass up the price (got it through a friend who's an endorser). Still jealous that you've got a kit with the right/vintage correct bearing edges. Maybe one day we can A/B the two sets (I may be relocating to CA in a few months) and see how close the Ludwig reissue sounds.

I wanna see pics of the red silver and blue sparkle kit too!

Cool man..let me know when your movin' out.

Congrats on the reissues!

Yeah I hate those ebony heads, sound like cardboard.
the kick batters are Powerstroke 3's.
tom batters are emperors, bottoms are clear ambassadors..all new too.
i'm gonna experiment with some different head combinations..
any ideas?

I'll post some pics of the RWB soon.
i started cleaning them up tonight..
got some Novus,Good stuffthumbsup
some of the edges are seriously f*cked up,so i'm gonna work on those too..
Got my router table and sanding rig/ 1/2" black plate glass ready to go if needed.

Damn...the gretsch kit, now this? What really pisses me off is that I'm in consolidation mode right now. I can't buy anything new now...I'm selling off stuff.....OK.....you gonna need a bunch of Paiste 2002's to go with that kit? I've got some I'm selling.......
