Hey guys,

Thanks for the feedback! As Eric mentioned, we have been in touch on this topic.

Mixbus runs on a wide range of computers including older PCs and Macs (even PowerPCs!). To guarantee compatibility with the most systems possible, we distribute Mixbus as a 32-bit app on OSX and Windows. Mixbus uses some 64-bit math inside the engine where it was found to be beneficial.

We distribute a 64-bit version for Linux, because 64-bit Linux systems generally aren't backwards compatible with 32-bit applications.

Because Mixbus doesn't load virtual instruments (which need extended RAM usage), we currently don't see any benefit to a 64-bit version. When we start hosting virtual instruments, a 64-bit version will become a priority.

Thanks,

Tim

I really appreciate this explanation of something I thought was a complete joke up until now.

However it should not be called inventory on shelves and our warehouses are almost empty, some of that stuff I have heard just makes companies look like pills.

I wondered why you did that. Makes sense in a way.

Please stop making the entire post a link in the deals section, some of the offers are using a hyperlink for the entire posting field. I enjoy that section, but I will not use a bunch of sticky billboards.

We can all read and select a link like mature adults.

What's the complaint exactly? What would be different if we did it that way?

Maybe it's just me, but I just clicked on the page and it took me to the site.

Never noticed that happening before.

Usually the posts are html with image or text links that we navigate.

Or maybe I never noticed this behavior.

EDIT:

I'm sure that many GS users have this browser open in the background, and may happen to click in any area to bring it forward. Instead, now (or maybe it was always) I am opening up these dealers websites. I hate that. If I want to go in their site, I will find a link and visit.

This is not a feature, you will not get redirected unless you click on an image that is hyperlinked.

Black Friday deals only on Friday?

Do the black Friday sales last over the weekend or are they only on Friday and then it´s over?

Because on Friday I´m not at my computer so I can´t make any purchases then, but on Saturday and Sunday I can.

If it says specifically for black friday, then it'll only be on black friday, but A LOT of companies are making sales for the weekend as well as some that'll last all the way through the end December. It varies by manufacturer tho, not by dealer.

Seen the 50% off session Horns from NI - Anyone seen a sale on Mojo Horns, Chris Hein compact Horns or the samplemodelling series?

I need some more horns in my life.

I think only the SoundToys is ending Friday. The Plugin Alliance deals end Saturday. Most of the rest go until Monday or beyond.

Thanks big fish!

A big thank you to Big Fish Audio, who very kindly reinstated one of their completed deals for me!

Had been waiting on the sale all year and when it finally came up I blew getting logged in and buying.

Just in case someone falls into the same trap, I had a technical issue when purchasing from audio deluxe. I sent three emails as of Friday and no one replied. I went on to their Facebook and can see others are experiencing the same.

I would definitely recommend shopping elsewhere if you expect at least basic customer service

Odd - been buying stuff from then for a long time and never had a single issue.
The few customer service contacts I have had were to the point, but polite and taken care of quickly.

Perhaps they just like Brits? (grin)

Same here - never had a single issue with audiodeluxe, probably a dozen transactions or so.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but it seems it is.

I'm looking for deals on Piano VST's. I already picked up The Giant and AKeys from NI last week since it was listed in the deals section, but I've no idea if there's ever any promotions on the others (vienna, 8dio, grand, imperfect, etc) short of just having them linked and checking everyone once in awhile.

Anywhere else I could look? Specifically Pianos, but any full instruments (not loops).

Emotional is 50% off just checked, will pick it up!

This isn't aimed at any particular company, but I'd like to just universally suggest that these custom Kontakt instrument companies (or EXS24, etc.) disclaim what other products were used in their usually impressive Soundcloud audio demos of the products they're selling. Case in point would be Crypto Cipher's "Tarangs" pack currently on VSTbuzz.com right now. Very cool demos and a VI I could see using, but it's hard to tell with an exotic instrument like that especially where the included content ends and other tools begin.

They ended up getting back to me! And i feel a little bad being so harsh because they were polite. They apologized for being under the pump and understaffed.

P.S. My family are from Warrnambool and reverse immigrated... TWICE! I am about it, apart from one cousin - the rest are back in Oz)
