Thunderbolt Motherboards, Windows for Cubase 5-7

HI there

I've read though the Threads about This but, I'm looking for a quick and dirty answer. Survey says!?

which motherboard? which windows? Cubase 5-7

Just lay it out there. What do you recommend of these three mobo's

Cubase thunderbolt Motherboard questions:

Which motherboard should I purchase for use with Cubase software? (I'm on line to buy a used copy of Cubase 5. If I like it I'll be purchasing Cubase 7)

2nd. Which Window's system is optimal?

here are the motherboards (and their links) I'm looking at right now ... I need to know which to purchase.

A. Gigabyte's GA-Z77X-UP4 TH GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z77X-UP4 TH (rev. 1.0)

(inexpensive Sandy Bridge with 2 thunderbolt ports)

B. Z77MX-QUO-AOS Z77MX-QUO-AOS | Quo Computer

(Custom motherboard with Ivy Bridge (made by techies out west) 2 Thunderbolt ports & built in Firewire port with Texus Instruments chip (TI) chip set)

C. ASUS P8Z77-V PRO/THUNDERBOLT - P8Z77-V PRO/THUNDERBOLT - Motherboards - ASUS
(Most well known brand more expensive and less features.)

Thanks in advance

I have the Gigabyte board and a UAD Apollo Duo with the TB adapter. They work great together, even though not officially supported by UA. Only thing I've found is that, even though UA says to make sure the Apollo is on before booting the computer, with Win8 Pro 64 bit it is sketchy whether TB devices will be seen. If I turn on my Apollo after the computer finishes booting, it runs flawlessly!

Can't comment on Cubase 5 - that's old software! I'm running C7.05

BTW, this mobo is a great platform for a Hackintosh also.
