Same here, Cubase 7 and Nuendo 6 forum's are locked, but not earlier versions.

I must say the Cubase 7 and Nunedo 6 forum topics where starting to look really bad for Steinberg, it may of been effecting sales?

Or just a simple lock down to consolidate topics, and carefully remove a few of the more negative ones.

Cubase 7 has been a bumpy ride here, and what with PT11 due for release and maybe Logic X, Steinberg may be feeling a bit nervous about defectors.

I will be looking very closely at PT11.

OK, well glad to know it's not just me. I'm pretty sure I'd posted nothing offensive so I wasn't sure what was going on.

Hopefully SB will reopen it soon.

Hello all,

It could have been that you where trying to post while the forum was being rearranged.

We have just completed moving several topics within the Cubase 7 and Nuendo 6 forums.
Up to now, there were sub-categories you could post in and the main forum where there were loads of posts as well. This was very messy and difficult to navigate.

For Cubase 7, we created a "General" forum section that contains all the threads from the main Cubase 7 forum. This one will be closed end of the month then you will be able to continue posting in the sub-forums.
For Nuendo 6 there is a "Miscellaneous" section that holds all the threads from the main Nuendo 6 forum now. This way we have the same forum structure for both Cubase and Nuendo.
You should be able to post now.

Best regards,
GN

Hey Guillermo N,

I'm evaluating the Cubase 7 demo and have several questions but I can't post int the Cubase 7 forum. Is there any way to change that? I've emailed per-sales support but have received no response.

As a long time Pro tools user I never have time read Cubase threads or Forums.
It seems a lot of Cubase users seem to what to post and chime on PT threads/forums with their comments.
FWIW I used Cubase for a few years (version 1-4) before PT decent MIDI.
I don't feel I am missing anything. YMMV

PT and cubase or nuendo with NEK are a compliment to each other ... not a who's better ... imho ... use whatever tools work for the job ...

i am looking forward to PT11 - curious about the Build form the Bottom Up approach ... we having been using overbloated pro tools code since PTIII i believe ... thats how long i have been using it .. i think it was Nubus just before PTIII going PCI ...

i just purchased Nuendo 3 and did the upgrade to N6 for under a grand including NEK ... the metering in N6 is very nice and has all those PTHD11 options (i was sorry to hear all the features that are HD ONLY but - it has always been like that ) ... why should we expect Avid to learn from past grumblings every time they put out a new version ...

i will be posting in Nuendo 6 Forum on Steinberg site my issues with the new version ... 6.04 is out ... lets see, the same will be for PT11 as they roll it out and peeps try to use it on unqualified computers ...

i guys building the Pro Tools PC say it should be a solid tool for Nuendo / Cubase as well ...

cheers

Thanks John. I keep coming up with various questions. What has me stumped currently is in the drum maps... how do you make changes on multiple notes? Right now I have to individually change all 100 something columns. Ex: I want to change about half of the notes to a different output and channel. I know how to change all the notes at once but not a selection. There has got to be a better way than changing each column for each note individually!

Thanks again!

I really liked Cubase 7 when it came out. The one main thing I did not like was the channel strip on the mixer page because they were too small to work with. However with 7.04, they made the channels strip larger so it is more workable. Very happy with the updated plug ins (compared to Cubase 5) and work flow. Works great with the Mackie Controller and Expander as well. I really like Samplitude and I still use it for mastering, but for audio and midi recordings, I found Cubase my preferred workflow and layout.

get answered by users who know whats up... at least thats
my impression.

Hello dino,

To post on the Cubase 7 forum you need to have your dongle with the Cubase 7 license register in your MySteinberg account.
Please send me a PM with your MySteinberg email address, then I can check what is going on.
Regarding your question; With the drum map setup option you can select different outputs and channels for each Pitch or Instrument.
E.g. Handclap - D#1 - Output Groove AgentOne - channel 10, Bass Drum - C1, Output HALion Sonic - channel 1.
But If you want to send half of the notes on D#1 to Groove AgentOne and the other half to HAlion Sonic, then you will have to duplicate them on a new MIDI track and change the output there.
I hope it is clear.

Best regards,
GN
