New C7 Plugins And Channel Saturation

So what are the impessions so far? How do those tube and tape saturation modules sound compared to their big league counterparts? And also, has anyone compared the new vintage comp to the rest of the 1173 more expensive emulations?

I'm experimenting with C7's saturation right now. The counterparts I have are the Slate RC-Tube and Waves Krammer.

I started a thread with some graphs in case you're interested.

Impressions so far: they're actually good sounding, but don't push them too hard. Tube is not subtle like the Slate is!

I quite like the new vintage compressor. I haven't compared it directly to an equivalent plugin yet but used it on a couple of sources and as a parallel compressor and it sounds really good!

Great news! I am a big fan of the regular cubase compressor and have not used the vintage, because I did not find it very practical.....An 1173 type of interface should be much more handy, and if it sounds good as you say, then that's a good news

The tube compressor is not bad either. Quite useable.

A little bit slow isnt it? As far I remember the one and only sneak peak on it, the fastest attack time was 10 ms. The counterpart goes doen to a few microseconds.

Perhaps I am wrong.
