Windows 8 Advice

Ive happily been using a PC Quad Core Q6600 since 2007 with XP SP3 and Cubase (currently 6)

As I would like to move up to Cubase 7 when a few of the bugs have been ironed out I will need to move to W7 or 8.

I would prefer to move straight to 8 so that I am a little more future proof but as my PC is so stable and copes with the projects I run I was just after some advice on any issues I may encounter with W8?

I dont think drivers will be much of an issue as I use an RME FF800, Remote 61SL so not much externally that should cause a problem.

Sorry if this is a bit naive but I tend to lose track of OS's and PC specs until I need to upgrade either
