Bass Trapping..

Wondering whether someone could share some light on this..

We had an acoustician look at our control room to see what treatment was needed. Though we've hit a snag as a cabinet is placed exactly where a bass trap is needed (the red rectangles are the proposed bass traps)

So, we were wondering if this would work, by placing the traps around the cabinet (ie split the bass trap in 3 sections to allow the cabinet to still open) This would however mean placing one of the bass traps on a corner which isnt what the acoustician said was necessary.

Sorta like this...

Can anyone help?

Lightbulb

I wouldn't bother with the middle section in front. But pull the couch forward and put traps in the wall-floor corners, and maybe add more at the top of the rear wall in that corner with the ceiling.
